Default Anyone see We Bought a Zoo?!! Wow, it is really great!

This came out last holiday season and it didn't seem very interesting so I never saw it. I finally just decided to get it from Netflix and it was actually sitting here for about a month!! I really like Matt Damon movies and so that is why I thought I would give it a try, but I wasn't totally excited about it. Finally, we watched it this evening and it was such a beautiful movie!! So much heart and depth that I did not expect!

It's a tear jerker, the kids mother died. I thought my son who is a bit sensitive would have a hard time with this movie but he liked it and to be honest I think it was good for him to see the characters work through this. You come into the movie with the mother already have been gone for several months, so you don't actually go through that with the characters.

There were a couple sh swear words which surprised me because of the PG rating. I didn't think you could say that word with that rating.

It was a really fun and also heartfelt movie.

I am really not a movie watcher, but my daughter convinced me to go see it when it was out at theaters and I LOVED it. Really sweet movie.

That's good to hear! I also wasn't sure about it when I saw the box at the video store. I originally wanted to see it, but then it didn't look that great. Now you have me wanting to see it again, LOL!

I made the mistake of letting the girls watching without previewing first. The profanity disappointed me and the girls caught every word.

Im with Laura. It was overall a cute movie but the swearing ruined it for us. my son wanted to know what a d**k was after watching it. It had huge potential to be awesome though!

    I forgot about that word.

I am surprised by the rating, it really should be PG 13 because of the language. They must have really lowered the bar for what is considered PG.

    They have in my opinion.

We watched without previewing too and I was surprised at the language. We did really enjoy the movie though. Thankfully the language pretty much went over my younger kids heads and my older are mature enough to handle it. I really loved the storyline!
