Angelo - details
Anyone else rowing Angelo? I just loved the illustrations and the details Jane pointed out. I wouldn't have noticed some of them such as what the directional blocks were all about or the meanings behind the feathers at the beginning and end; also the motorcyle rider at beginning and end.
A funny thing that stuck out to me was when he was playing with his linguini on p. 40, the linguini forms, not only a nest, but a question mark!
I noticed in the archives the question about the apparent chaos in the illustration on p. 9. I think that Angelo is so deep in thought that the world is bustling all around him but he doesn't notice a thing. He is deep in concentration and concern for the pigeon. I know I sometimes experience that too! I think it is exaggerated to make the point of the contrast.
