Thread: Christmas Traditions with Teens

Hybrid View

  1. Default Christmas Traditions with Teens

In about a month, I'm going to have a teen. I can see some of our Christmas traditions are starting to lose their zest.

I'd like to put together a list of ideas for some new traditions to try next year. I'd love to hear what's a hit from those of you with teens!

My guys still love Moose on the Loose. They take joy in hiding it in very difficult places for each other to find.

We still read the Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Rover Saves Christmas and a few other books.

    They still participate in devotionals.

Jeremy bought a few lego sets and is doing an advent thing for Luke.

My youngest loves fire, so any candle lighting is still fun for him.

My boys have started with the Lego Christmas Village sets. They are pricey, but worth it for us. (If you watch after Christmas, you might find some on sale.) They made the Toy Shop and Bakery last year. This year it is a post office.

We are also wanting the boys to look more into serving/sharing with others. There are some opportunities around town, but this year didn't work with Eli's surgery and hospitalization. Turning their hearts towards others is where I hope we can head.
