Default Substitute for My Blue Boat

    Hello,

I am new here and am trying to get all of the books ready to go for next year to do with my middle son. I have noticed that there are some substitutes for other OOP books and was wondering if anyone knew of one for My Blue Boat. Thank you!

I would like to know the substitutes as well. I hadn't heard of them, except the one for Jenny's Surprise Summer.

    Thanks in advance

If you get EITHER Yellow Ball or My Blue boat, you should be fine. The lessons are kind of specific to the book, so I'm not sure that substitutions would work. There are a lot of parallels between those two though, so you would probably be okay with one of them. We LOVED having both, and we opened our pre-K year with Yellow Ball and closed with My Blue Boat, but they were the two books that I paid more for. That and The Quiet Way Home. Have you checked your library? They might own them. Other than that...I use camelcamelcamel to set price watches on Amazon, and I look used on Amazon, abebooks.com and half.com. Good Luck!

When I rowed with my first two, My Blue Boat seemed fairly easy to find, and we even lived in the middle of nowhere. I actually requested an ILL for My Blue Boat today, and my librarian said I may have trouble getting children's books through ILL.
    We shall see.
But, that being said, I have rowed both books in the past, and I agree. If you can get your hands on either Yellow Ball or My Blue Boat, you'll be fine.
We snagged Yellow Ball for next week, and we are hoping My Blue Boat comes in soon. If not, we aren't gonna sweat it.

    Happy Rowing!!
