We have been volunteering all day and just got back. That is a lot of work. I need to work now and then we are going outside. It should only be around 80 degrees in an hour.

Jen, so glad the wine is coming up! Your poor knees!
I made a list today called Tuesday Triumphs and the kids checked things off as they went. Much shorter list than yesterday and they were happy.
*Fill dog bone jar-check
*Find all the hidden dirty clothes in bedrooms and put them in a pile-check
*Finish off llama fence-check (hard work!)
*Fold towels and put away-fold check, I need to re-do the linen cupboard before I can put away.
*16dd finishing up some papers for her class
*Recommended The Indian in the Cupboard to 10dd and she loves it!
*I did a big master beddroom vacuum
*I am in the middle of changing my sheets. Bed stripped, waiting for the dryer. I am going to vacuum the matress in a minute. Does anyone else do this??
*Chickens had some supervised outside graze time. They are getting big! I think one of the 8 is a rooster. We think we see some little spurs coming in. Ruh roh for him...
*Flung a dead varmit over the fence into an empty field![]()
*Commonwealth business
*Hung a ton of mine and Dh's clothes that have been in a clean pile in our room forever
*Blog post on owl pellets
*Doctored a dog that has a sore under her arm and on her face.![]()
Update on 10dd's new medication: She started the new med for her Crohn's on Sunday. She takes it once a week. The doctor warned us it could make her very tired and could cause vomitting the day after. She didn't have any side effects at all and actually felt better than usual!
We are grazing on our Costco loot from yesterday. 12ds made an oven bake pizza and we had it for a late lunch with Costco apple pie. Nobody likes the pineapple upside down cake except me, which is a BIG problem.![]()

Heather wife to Dan and rowing with my four sweeties (14 ds, 12 dd, 10 ds, 7 ds).
We've been busy since the last time I checked in:
- advanced some laundry
- started some more
- Dan packed some basement boxes
- he helped to make boxes for me to pack
- I packed three boxes today, but that cleaned out the rest of my lair just about
- all the drawers from the lair are packed
- had fun trip down memory lane by looking at baby books
- sent some MOPS emails
- ordered two skorts
- laminated E's game pieces
I spent most of the evening packing up the things from my studio. So, tomorrow all I need to do is pack the things left on the work surface and vacuum the area. Then I'll box up the remaining items and make sure I seal and label all the boxes.
After that, I'll start on the craft closet. That will be a job. But it shouldn't be too bad. I organized it recently. I'm keeping out the watercolors and watercolor paper.

I’m late posting today because I was out all morning. I went to visit a local international school (this is not the same one I looked into before). Originally I had contacted them about a 1 hr. a week tutoring job, which they have filled, but they still wanted to meet me. It is an International Baccalaureate school, which has an intriguing philosophy. The principal is open to me starting a homeschool group that may partner with the school for things like field trips, library usage and possible extra curricular classes like PE. She is going to help give me some online groups to see if I can find other homeschoolers in the area. A weekly or monthly homeschool group would really fill a need for my dc to get to interact with other children. I hope it works out.
My plans for today…
-meeting at the international school done
-grocery shop done
-hang a load of laundry
-fold several loads of laundry
-challenge #1: change bedding
-challenge #2: Art lesson today
-put away laundry
-dishes
-school prep
-school
-get the dc to do their chores
-make dinner
-study Japanese
-start working on chocolate bar wrappers for the church’s Father’s day gifts
